  1. Look up the name Jacques Ceausteau on the internet he was a French diver and quite prolific at that.

  2. Do you mean a professional diver?? if so there is not a TV program that I am aware of.

    There are many schools that teach Deep Sea diving as against recreational diving.

    There you will learn how to use helmet, surface assisted breathing and mixed gas breathing (Helium, Oxygen, Hydrogen etc) and most importantly about decompression.

    you may want to look here

    PS - hint: oxygen is lethally toxic at only a few meters

  3. The U.S. Navy. If you want to earn a living as a diver, the best place to start is in the Navy, then go look for a job with a good resume in hand. Just like many pilots go to the military for flight trainning, then to the airlines.

  4. Try NAVY Seals Class 234 (a video series by Discovery Channel) it is a class of recruits tying to become seals

  5. There's a DVD called Turning Pro made by a professional diver. I got one from Extreme Sports Cafe - they have a website. Oh yeah, the film covers 3 categories of professional diving; archeaology (did I spell that right?), military diving and also deep-saturation oilfield diving which is what I think you are interested in. Good luck if you go for it... serious job, I'm thinking about it too!

  6. I have a place around here spacificaly on that! I'll change my answer L8R when I get a hold of them 4 ya ( ;
