Does anyone know of a decent restaurant in Liverpool?

I'm sorry, the only decent thing to come out of Liverpool is the M56.

A good selection here, depends what you want. The sushi restaurant on Duke St has a good reputation, but I think the best Chinese is the Yuet Ben which is oposite the chinatown at the top of Duke St.

As for the last answer the M56 runs from south Manchester to Cheshire, not Liverpool. I think they may be confusing the old Liverpool saying of what was the best view of Manchester.

The answer? M62, rear view mirror.
