  1. There is a u-shaped plastic device that screws onto the switch plate and covers the switch making it very difficult to operate.  There are sold in the electrical departments of the two large home centers.

  2. You could remove the switch, Wire nut the two hots together. Normally they are black. And then put a cover plate over the switch box.

You could split the outlet, if it is a duplex "two plug ins" by removing the tab on the hot side, that would make one hot and the other controlled by a switch.  But would have to have a hot wire in the outlet box.

  3. take the switch out and bypass it ; connect the wires together dont put them on the switch.  but then you cant turn it off hah

  4. I would beat her repeatedly until she stops doing it.  Maybe you could stretch her neck a bunch and say, "Bad girl!  Don't touch that switch!"

  5. A switch toggle lock can be used...

  6. Yeah, my husband just bought something like this to keep a ceiling fan always on. It is clear plastic and fits over the switch but under the plate cover. I'm not sure if it has a name but I think he got it at Home Depot.

  7. Just tape it over, it's worked in my house...
