Does anyone know of a good bus tour in Australia?

I'm planning on backpacking Australia starting in Sydney and ending in Cairns. I'm looking for a sort of hop-on/hop-off bus that's geared towards people my age (I'm 20) and that's doable in 10-12 days. I'm on a budget, so the cheaper the tour, the better! Any recommendations?

hi, im planning on doing the same thing but for a bit longer, probs 3 weeks. The best ive found is oz experience i think its run by sta travel, and that's hop on hop off with some stops n activities included (including surf lesson, bit random goat rodeo !!) that about £210 i think which i dont think is too bad for what it is and good to meet people (hopefully!) Im 21 and i think that looks like young folk! One of my mates done the trip in 14 days but had to miss out a few stops! hopefully that's helpful!

Oz Experience is the only one that does hop on/hop off 'tours'. Greyhound also does the route but that's just a coach service.

OzExperience is owned by a company called 'Adventure Tours Australia'. I don't know that they have any affiliation with STA Travel apart from STA being one of the many travel agencies that sells their tours.
