Hello, we are moving from Canada and one of us will be working in Nottingham and the other will be working in London. We need to live somewhere in between that is on a fast train or bus-rail route. Can you suggest a good place to live?

Thanks so much for your help.

  1. A virgin train sleeper car is the only flat I know that travels between notts and london.Don`t do birmingham it`s a nightmare for travel the trains are allways late or full.

  2. I know that there is a fair distance between them but for ease of transport and convenience then I would suggest looking in or around Birmingham.

There are also commuter links from Peterborough (Cambs.) and Milton Keynes, Northampton and maybe Cambridge.

    Hope this information helps you.

There is a website called www.rightmove.co.uk that may help in your search online.

  3. Sorry Monty's answer above is nonsense. The main rail line from Nottingham to London  (St Pancras)is operated by East Midlands Trains, not by Virgin and there are no sleeping cars,

nor are they usually late. Towns on route that you might look at are Leicester, Wellingborough,Kettering and Market Harborough.
