Does anyone know of a good low cost insurance for famlies?

My husbands insurance at his job costs way too much money, and we just got told that he makes too much money for foodstamps even though I am always going to the foodbank because we can't afford food, and we cant pay our rent or our bills either. Plus we will be on a sliding scale for medicaid, which means we'd have to pay part of it to even get it. We have 5 children, 4 of which have no medical care whatsoever and desperately need it. does anyone know of a good low cost insurance for families? we need to figure out something....thank you

I'm sorry for the situation that you are in.  Best of luck for your future and your family.  You did not say what state you are living in.  Have you looked into a discount healthcare program?  The monthly costs are generally very low.  You will need to pay out of pocket  monies above the negotiated price established between the doctor and the discount company.  Check out the policies at www.MedicalAndDentalPlus.net to see if they are available in your state and if this is a possibility given your situation.

I'm afraid low cost plans will come with high dedutibles. which means a lot of out of pocket expenses.

Be careful with discount plans they may not be worth it for you.

Each state usually has some type of program for low income families. Try googling "your state insurance for low income famalies"

Does your county/city offer any type of free clinic? Again try google.
