Does anyone know of a good place to take surfing lessons in Puerto Vallarta or Nuevo Vallarta?

You can also go to Punta De Mita (Sp??) I took a bus there from Puerto Vallarta and took some surfing lessons.  Very easy bus ride, less then an hour.

Ask for OSO.  Punta DeMita is a very small town just up from Vallarta.  Check it out.

Hi

The only place i know is SAYULITA.

Sayulita is about 1 hour north of Puerto Vallarta and theres 2 places there where you can take the lessons and is easy to find them once your there.

You can get there by taxi with will be like $40 us or by bus wich will be like $25 pesos.

Sayulita is the closest and best place to learn to surf.  It is very shallow, the waves are soft.  Sayulita is an hour away from Puerto Vallarta.  I would recommend contacting Pedro at [e-mail].  He has been surfing for over 15 years around Puerto Vallarta.  He can take you to the best places to surf and provide you with the boards.  He has his own independent private touring company.  He's very knowledgeable and a great guy.  You can also find him at the beaches around the Holiday Inn in the Hotel Zone.
