I am looking for a mattress store in or around the Houston area that may have "scratch and dent" mattresses. I need to purchase 3 twin mattresses, and they are not cheap! Please let me know if you know of something.

  1. The Dump! - no not the trash dump, the store called The dump. North of downtown on IH45 I think :-)

  2. I visited some of those before but ended up getting cleaner mattresses for less money off of craigslist.  I also sold 2 brand new twins on there a while back for next to nothing.  All of the scratch dent places were sooo gross and it looked like they had gotten them out of old hotels.  It stunk in the store, too.

I purchased a queen off Craigslist for a guest room and it was in perfect condition from a very clean home from a couple moving overseas.  I ended up selling that on Craigslist too...probably for more than we paid for it.

  3. Try Finger's. The Bargain Basement section.

  4. Mattress Firm has an outlet towards Baytown, the mattresses are new, but older models that aren't sold in normal stores anymore. I saw 'guest' type twin mattresses for as little as $50, and I bought my Queen bed there for about half the price of something similar in the regular store.
