Does anyone know of a good reputable company where you can work from home?

Question

I do not want websites that tell have me buy books or programs to earn good money at home. I am looking for a website/company where I can get hired and work and not have to buy into a program that will teach me how to find work from home.

You can apply for freelance writing, bookkeeping, software, transcription, online tuition or customer service work at home jobs. These companies do not require any fee and pay well . I think your best bet is to collaborate with a company and have a home based business through that company.  Having a home job will only bring you minimum waged earnings.  After taxes are taken out, your take home will be below minimum wage.  If this is sufficient amount of income, here's a couple websites that you can take a look at and apply for the job.  I can't guarantee that you will receive the job. but you can apply for it.  It's going to be very difficult to land this because everyone is looking for ways to make an income working from home.  I beleive this is to be for the increase of the gas prices, making it almost impossible for the average American to be able to afford to drive anywhere.  This is taking out a lot of money from people's pay checks and really effecting people.  But here's two web sites to take a look at.

Your other option is to look into having a home based business in an industry that you like.  You have the same income opportunity as a traditional business, without all the over head expenses.  A huge income opportunity for you there working from home. Just about everything you use in your home, all becomes tax write off's.  My husband has had our own home based business in the telecommunications industry for several years now.  We both work from home and make a sufficient amount of income for our family of six.  Here's our web site you can take a look at:

First, never, ever pay to get a job! Legitimate companies will not charge you to work for them. Finding these companies can be an overwhelming task, but I have a good resource for you.... http://www.workathomedesk.com is a free site that has an excellent directory of companies that hire home workers and also has frequently updated job leads. The only expenses you should have to work from home are high speed internet and equipment like a headset. Hope this helps. Good luck.

You will hear of a lot of people who claim to have found this work and are making a fortune. The only way they really make money is by getting others to pay them to find work - not by actual work.

There are data entry jobs available, but they are generally only available very locally. The pace of business today prohibits the type of data entry you remember from years back. However, there are always businesses which need to take analog data (maybe handwritten job applications, for example) and turn them into computer entries. Even with optical character recognition, there is still a need to data enter or verify what the system read. Occasionally, this work can be done from home once you've proven yourself with the employer.

Look for evening shifts for data entry (often found thru temp agencies) and once you've built a reputation, see if their servers can be accessed remotely so you could work from home. I think more and more of these jobs will be done at home, but they will extremely short time-lines, what comes in today needs to be in the system tonight, for example, with none of the flexibility you remember.
