Does anyone know of a good running shoe? or at least things that I should look for in a good shoe?

I'm kinda picky. I'm female and I have really big feet so I don't like high tops or anything that would bring attention to my feet when I wear shorts while I run lol. I like a light short shoe... does anyone have any ideas?

I'm pretty loyal to Nike, I've ran track in a pair of Shox, I cheerlead in AirMax trainers, and I just picked up a pair of AirMax's for school. They are true to their size, and one pair is about the same weight as a single DC skate shoe. They really do have something for everyone, whether you like flashy designs, or you're like me, and prefer function over form.

Adidas tend to make your feet look smaller, but they run small so if you really have REALLY big feet like size 16 and 1/2 mens (ME), you won't find any. Hopefully you are a girl and could jump to mens sizes, I got nowhere to go.

Asics is a really good shoe. Comfortable and durable and attractive too. They have just the shoe for you. For your best running shoe though decide what type of pronator are you (how your foot comes into contact with the ground) Overpronators have low to no arches at all in their feet and need the most support from a shoe. I'm an overpronator and I wear Asics gel Kayano. They cost me a lot but the shoe is so worth the money for protecting my feet. Then there are the supinators with very high arches and the regular pronators with normal arches. Let the store salesperson help you choose a shoe. I recommend a shoestore geared specifically toward runners like the ones in the mall. I bought my shoes at Sports Authority.

Adidas. GREAT brand. They last for a long time and overall are just great shoes. If you don't like adidas you definetly need to look for a light weight shoe. Try to avoid shoes with shocks because its harder on your heel when you run.

yeah theres this really good shoe that i like called asics they hv like a gel bad in them there really light and airy to they come in realy bright colors but they also hv neutral colors llike blue black or white
