Hi, does anyone know of any good spots to catch crayfish in the Seattle area? I used to catch them in a creek near where I grew up, but that was many years ago, and the creek is no longer accessible.

  1. As stated any fresh water that is reletively clean and has fish in it - even minnows qualify as fish... look around the rocks as this is normally where you will find them.

Best time is to come at night with a lantern to see if you can see them walking around (eyes glow a bit) then come back during the day and catch them under the rocks or get a minnow trap and put a dead fish in it - be sure to cut up the fish so they can smell it and they can pick at it.

  2. any body of fresh water...look where there are shallow rocky areas where the current isn't so fast (so you can see & catch them). Any pond or lake with a rocky shoreline...should suffice. I found some out near Oak Harbor a long time ago so I know they're around.
