Does anyone know of a good torrent downloading site?

I dont know how they work, is it just called a torrent site? I want to download movies. but I have a mac pro, but it has Parallels installed, but I would rather stick with mac-friendly sites.

any ideas? I'm a computer smart person and design web pages writing straight html and css. so I am pretty frustrated that I am ignorant when it comes to torrents.

The place to go is a torrent search site.  For movies (and even software) it will not matter much if the site is Mac friendly.  Those sites have millions of torrents so there is something for everyone.  This article discusses the most popular sites and their features.

basicaly you download a asmall torrent tracker from a torrent website.  You open this small file in your torrent program.  I use ustorrent program btu I dotn think thats mac compatible.  There are hundereds of different torrent programs that esentualy do the same thing.  Find on that is mac copatible.  Once you dload the torrent tracker (takes like 1 min) you open it in the software on your computer and it will dload the actual video files.  One of the best torrent sites is www.mininova.com.  Everyoen used that one so it has lots of good stuff.  another option is to stream videos live form a site like surfthechannel.com
