Does anyone know of a good virus protector?

i need a good virus protection program that makes my computer fast and gets all the viruses off does anyone know of one thats have a free trial right now??

as every computer user, everybody who's surfing the net, you should have a good security software also. The performance of the security software  depends on your systems qualifications. So, if you search through the net, you could see a lot of security firms. You could download their trial version on their website. Norton, Nod32, Kaspersky, Panda, Trend Micro etc. some of them. Also, there should be windows campaigns about using promotion of them, check it also. Good luck,

Try AVG free edition, its a really well developed anti-virus system and it will scan and delete any viruses off your computer. However its not only viruses which slow your computer down, spyware also does it aswel. Try spybot search and destroy or ad-aware to get rid of those both are free.

AVG is good! It doesn't give you all that trial rubbish, you can keep it forever! It notices them quite well.

has 30 day trial and provides the full works

very good and not a pc eater

AVG Free for virus protection and Spybot for Spywear protection.

CCleaner to clean out all the cookies and stuff.

That's what I used till I got a mac and it worked good as long as you keep them updated.
