Does anyone know of a great map site for driving directions?

PLEASE DON'T SAY MAPQUEST...

I usually use Mapquest but now I will not use it again. I was trying to get directions and estimated drive time to Memphis from my home and Mapquest is trying to direct me around Interstate 40 through Asheville NC and then back to Interstate 40.

This will add too much time and I want a direct route.

I always use google maps.

Google Maps has consistently given me fairly good results.  You can customize the route any way you want, dragging it over a particular road, avoiding highways, and the estimates are pretty accurate.

You can change the settings on Mapquest when requesting directions.  You can set it for the shortest route, the quickest route, avoiding tolls, etc.

Try Google, Yahoo, Maps.com, MSN, or AAA maps for directions.  My opinion is that probably none of them are perfect.  I went to the eye dr. last week (about 40 min. away from my home) and Google had the wrong exit.  The drs. office said they had been trying to get them to change it.  I usually like google maps.  Even a GPS will lead you a totally inappropiate way.  When I go to my son's in NJ, my GPS always wants to take me right through NYC!!
