Does anyone know of any [online] homeschool programs that sends you workbooks that have 'lessons' in them and then you do the work in them and send them back and then they send you more work?

Or could you possibly get 'workbooks' off the internet? Like, for each grade, each subject sort of thing?

Or if anyone has great websites for homeschooling that don't cost alot could you share them?

I'm in Texas, if that helps any. And I'm also in High School.

So if you know of any Texas homeschool sites that could maybe help me or anything could you please post them? Thanks.

  1. I use Penn Foster High School.

They mail you your books and at the end of each book there is an exam.  You submit the exam either online, a scantron that is mailed to the school, or on the phone.

If you already have high school credits you can transfer them to the school and your tuition will be much less.  It's $900 for all four years, but if you have credits it's less. :)

  2. Here is a web site that will help you find one

here is some info that may help you, if you need anything else feel free to email me

  3. American School

  4. Have your mom look into charter homeschooling in Texas. They will provide all the books that you need. My brother in law does homeschooling/charter schooling and is doing great. The school provides the books, and he meets with a teacher every week to keep him on track.

If not, Google is awesome for finding worksheets, or lesson plans for younger grades... not sure about older kids.

You can try looking up homeschool curriculums if this will not work. I know www.OakMeadow.com has an online program.

You can also look into this free option: http://www.k12.com/

I have heard good things about it, but they do not offer it in my area.

I'm sure there are others, but this is what I use with my girls. :)

    Good Luck

  5. If you are looking for a religious curriculem, Christian Liberty Academy sends you books, you do the exercises send in your work, and they send you a report card. Also A Beka Academy is on DVDs. It is more expensive, but you send in your work, and you get report cards too.
