My 7 month old daughter was also accepted at Model Club Inc. and they are asking for $175 up front but I've been told by a lot of people never to pay to have my daughter model.

  1. What are you going to get for $175? Are they going to take pictures and make up a portfolio? I heard of a scam about 10 years ago aimed at teenage girls. An "online modeling agency" offered to make a portfolio of pictures at $400 a shot and put them online. They made a heck of a profit and in a week they were gone. Sure, they did what they said they would do--the girls got a portfolio of black and white pictures and maybe their pictures went online--but there was no guarantee that any of these girls ever had a chance of coming close to being a model. I would stay away from them. If they were all that interested, they would be chasing you.

  2. Legitimate companies do not expect you to pay them.  They earn their money from the commission on the jobs they get for you or they pay YOU to work for them.  Not the other way around.
