Does anyone know of a petting zoo in maryland?

Question

I'm looking for one that has pigs and i'm trying to find the closest one to columbia but they have to have pigs so i will go the distance if I need to. Thanks

Maymont near Richmond, VA is a very nice place including :from their own site:

Maymont's Children's Farm features domestic animals raised on Virginia farms. The Farm is open year-round and offers all visitors insight into the farm-life experience and the production of food and textiles. Children are welcome to feed and pet many animals on display. The Farm is home to a variety of goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, donkeys, rabbits, peafowl (peacocks and peahens), turkeys, cattle, horses, geese and ducks.

The Children's Farm also hosts rare breeds of livestock which were once common on farms in Virginia. Some of these animals are no longer used in modern agriculture and may become endangered. Rare breeds include Scotch Highland and Dutch Belted cows, the Barbados Blackbelly sheep and others.

don't know of any in maryland-- but there is an awsome one in reston,va which isnt too far from dc-- im almost positive they have pigs, its on hunter mill road and im pretty sure its just called the reston petting zoo or reston pet farm

at the national zoo in dc i thought they had a petting zoo place!

Oxon Hill Farm is just a few minutes outside DC and I do believe they allow petting and have pigs..and chickens(my son chased one). Its a wonderful place for small children.

If you are in Columbia, the closest petting zoo to you is Clark's  Elioak Farm, which is near Ellicott City.  It's a farm that has a petting zoo as one part. And they definitely have pigs.

Another answer suggested the Pet Farm Park in Reston.  That *was* a wonderful place, but I understand they closed a couple of seasons ago.
