Does anyone know of a place i could get my son's male zebra finch a lady friend

My son just got two zebra finches from someone who used to breed them. One was a young baby, about a month old. We had the birds since sunday evening and woke up this morning to find the baby dead on the bottom of the cage below the nest. A month old for a baby zebra finch is beyond old enough for it to fly around etc on it's own. I am trying to find someone who has a female bird for him. His boy is lonely already. Please let me know if anyone knows of a place in northern nh.

Try this website...www.singing-wings-aviary.com  They are located in London Arkansas, but they will ship the bird to you.  I got my Quaker from there and she is happy and healthy.
