Does anyone know of a place to send your clothes to give to underprivledged families?

not a place like goodwill or anything where anyone can shop, but somewhere that gives them to children and families who actually need it.

You might try a local church, or perhaps a homeless shelter. also, ask your friends and family if they know of anyone who might be in need.

Shelters are great places, just make sure that their population can use what you give them.  Also, look for places that give clothing away by going to www.211.org and looking for the directory for your area.  This network has info on social service agencies in specific areas.  Also, your local coalition for the homeless will know which places give away clothes and what donations they accept.

Can't speak for where you are at but here we have a women's shelter that is always looking for usable clothing for them and their children. Most shelter locations are not revealed but they usually have an office to take donations. It might be through your YWCA or contact United Way for local information.

In light of all the recent tragedies please contact the United Way and the Red Cross for authorized collection centers. Clean usable clothing, Linens, Towels, toiletries and of course money are always welcome to these benevolent societies.

I would definatly at least show a state or city,here in my town i know of several church groups and pantrys that would gladly take them and distibute them to the ones that really need them
