Does anyone know of a program in texas that helps families start over(paying for rent, daycare, job training)?

my family needs to start over because we took help from someone that was only out to glorify him self. So, now we are on the verge of becoming homeless. I don't want a hand out I want a jump off!!!!!!!!!! If something doesn't happen soon I may lose my family(2parent 3kids)

Texas is stretched pretty think right now, with the Katrina  people there. I might suggest you contact your nearest Church groups, they all have special programs and funds to help the needy.  You did not say what City or County you are in, but you might try:

I went through that,had to move in with some relatives until we could get back on our feet.

You need someone to watch the kids and bot of you hit the streets job hunting.

Ask a relative or friend to help you out, the government agencies will be looking at you side ways to make sure the kids are being taken care of especially with all the stuff going on it Texas right now.  Good luck and best wishes

The person that you took help from before, can you talk to them and tell them how badly they hurt you.  Also, Social Services are not lways bad people, they might be able to help you find a job and housing to keep the family together.
