My group has drawn 4 tags for the upcoming Wyoming wolf season. We want to combine the hides and make one really nice coat.

  1. Taxidermists don't make coats; furriers do.

  2. contact a trapper to properly remove the pelt from the harvested animal and to prepare the pelt,Taxidermists don't make coats but could help in proper preparations of the pelts you would need to contact a furrier they would have the proper patterns and equipment to fabricate the garment you wish

  3. Taxidermists prepare, repair and mount skins and skeletons of animals, birds and fish for display, research or study purposes. Taxidermists recreate dead animals, birds and fish into life-like poses by skinning dead animals, birds or fish. Taxidermists then clean the flesh, mites and bacteria from the skins. Taxidermists repair any damages in the skins and mounts before preserving them with chemicals. Taxidermists will design the moldings for artificial bodies and then attach the skins to the artificial bodies. The process that the taxidermists go through is detail oriented and time consuming. It normally takes a taxidermist six to eight months to complete a job.

  4. There are several people in Wyoming and Montana that make very good leather and fur garments.  Any taxidermist in that area can refer you to one.  Good luck hunting!
