You design the shirt in Adobe Illustrator and then upload it to the site and people vote on it. Enough votes and your shirt will be printed and available for purchase. You get a one time payment, I forget how much. No commission though

Really cool site with some really great shirts. My boyfriend orders from there at least once a month. His designs have never gone to production though. Good luck

cafepress.com does something similar to that if I remember correctly.
