Does anyone know of an emergency car service, like onstar, but doesn't have to be factory installed?

I like the sound of the Onstar service, but you have to have a new, factory installed onstar, GM car. Does anyone know of something similar, using satalite technology, push button service for car emergency situations? (not AAA) Thanks!

OnStar is a rip off!  Not only do you have to pay hundreds of dollars to have the equipment installed in your car, after the first 12 months of operation, you have to pay $20 per month to continue your subscription to the service.  If you have a cell phone, you don't need OnStar. You can call 911 for yourself!

If you want to spend the money, you can have Onstar installed on any vehicle because they will sell it as a kit as well.
