  1. I actually work for an online high school, and the high school I work for handles the out-of-state students for the state of Utah's online high school.  The courses we offer have the same content that is taught in a classroom, but you can work at your own pace and earn a degree.  It isn't a quick fix, but you do earn the same high school diploma you would at a brick and mortar school.

The school is called The American Academy, and the website is www.taaschools.net .

Whether you choose to check out the school or not, make sure that you find out what agency the school you choose is accredited through.  Accreditation means that an outside company has checked out the school and the content of its courses and made sure that it is taught by qualified people and will teach you what you are supposed to learn.  You will also want to check with your high school to make sure they will accept the credit you earn.

One good source to find legitimate schools is:

  2. See if you can make up those credits in Summer School. Beware of anything online, talk to you guidence counsoler. But also realize 2 credits should only take one semester so maybe you can go back to high school untill December and start College in the Spring.. Good Luck to you.

  3. If I were you, I'd do a google search for online high school, or correspondence high schools.

I took correspondence courses in high school, and I really liked it.  The schools I was enrolled in were "Laurel Springs School" and "Oak Meadows School".  Check 'em out.

I'm sure there are many, many affordable alternatives to going to an actual high school... A lot of people (and I mean a LOT) do this.

    Good luck! :)
