Does anyone know of an online home schooling thing that is free?!?

Im going to get home schooled.And well i want to do it online.But i dont want to pay.So anyone know of any?

There are SOME free one for SOME state residents

Florida, for example, has a FREE one for FLORIDA residents.

WHY do you expect a free lunch, the world is NOT communist you know.  90% of the world is Capitalist.  You have to PAY for your electricity, water, food, apartment, heat, transporation.

FREE education IS out there, like it or not it's call the PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM.

Do you DEMAND the store give you free STEAKS.  Do you DEMAND the gas station give you free GAS.

I'm 56 and this is the FIRST year I made over $20K a year.

EVERYONE OUT THERE try that one on for size!

Florida Virtual School also have a competitor many people do not know about "Connection Academy" .

Connection Academy is a rapidly growing form of free public school that students attend outside the walls of a traditional classroom. It combines strong parental involvement of learning at home, the expertise and accountability of public education, and the flexibility of online classes.

They provide each student with  Free textbooks, lesson plans, online resources and other curriculum materials. If you dont have a computer  they offer a free loaner and printer.

There several ways to go to online high school. Most of these online high schools are really good, but they charge you a fee for each class you take. If you want a free (and good) online school, check for your local virtual school:

1) Check if your state has a virtual school. Go to google and put in (your state goes here) virtual school. Ex: if you live in florida, type in florida virtual school. It's really good. You can even take classes on there if you don't live in florida (but you have to pay.) If your state has a virtual school, and you are an active student in that state, the classes would usually be free.

3) IMPORTANT: Check if the online high schools offer diplomas. For example, keystone national high school DOES offer a diploma, as proof of graduation, but FLVS DOESN'T offer a diploma and you'd have to take the GED. Be careful what school you choose, and make sure it is accredited. If not, you might not get credit for your work when you change high schools or go to college.

Just make sure that you will get credits for the classes you take online (make sure the school is accredited. (Keystone and Florida Virtual School are both accredited.)
