  1. My company recently switched to Consumers Life.  They are based out of Ohio.  Reasonable rates for a company with 4 employees.  Should be ok for an individual too.

  2. Assurant

  3. Like in your situation,I would like to advise you have a look here.http://health-insurance.expert-tip.info/...

  4. There are plenty of cheap health insurance companies in Ohio.

The key is just to choose a company that is well known, trustworthy, and will be there should you ever have a claim. Choose an established company like a United Healthcare, Blue Cross, Humana, Aetna, etc. and you will be fine.

To find the cheapest plan for you particular situation be sure and compare quotes from at least 3 different companies and then work with an independent health insurance agent (an agent that can work with many different companies).

Here is some more information on finding affordable health insurance and also some information specifically on health insurance in Ohio:

  5. It isn't impossible to purchase affordable health insurance as long as you are currently healthy. The cost of the policy is based on your age, gender, weight, whether you are a smoker or non-smoker, current health status and the benefits plan selected.

Anthem offers several affordable health insurance plans for individuals in Ohio. The price will go up or down depending on the benefits you select. If you want a low annual deductible such as $250 or $500, your monthly premium will be high.

If you are more concerned about a catastrophe illness or accident and select an an annual deductible of $2500 or 5000, you will have a much lower monthly premium.

However, even with the high deductible and you are paying those expenses out of pocket, you are paying the negotiated rates between Anthem and the medical providers. You are no longer "uninsured" and being charged unregulated rates.

You might also select a plan that covers only generic drugs - no brand name prescriptions are covered. That will significantly decrease your monthly premium.

Decide what your goal is behind having a health insurance plan - one to cover everyday, basic health care needs with a high monthly premium or one with a low monthly premium but will provide you in the event of a serious illness, then contact an Anthem agent..There are other good insurance companies Ohio just be sure they have a Best rating of A+

    Good luck

  6. Health insurance is expensive.  You get what you pay for.

Affordable, in my experience, usually means "less than market value".  You want a no deductible plan that covers preexisting conditions, for up to $1,000,000, for about $25 a month.

That's like a brand new Cadillac, off the lot, for $100.  Doesn't exist.

You get what you pay for, in health insurance.  Use a local agent, so you don't get scammed.  And don't buy over the internet, unless you want to get scammed.

  7. There are several really good health insurance carriers in Ohio.  As far as which one will offer the best rates for you can vary by zip code, type of plan you choose, etc.

One of the best ways to find out which company will offer you the best rate would be to use free on-line rating services to compare multiple quotes.

There's a really good directory at http://www.InsuranceEasy.org that offers consumers direct links to some of more popular and reliable free on-line quoting services.  You also can click on the following short cut to go directly to the health insurance links of their directory. http://mysite.verizon.net/ressg6c7/savin...

I would suggest requesting quotes from each of the free services that they offer.  This will greatly increase your chances of finding the best coverage for you and the best rate.

Also once you determine which quote is best for you also check out the insurance company's financial rating.  You can do this by visiting a site called AM Best at http://www.ambest.com/

    Hope this blesses you!

  8. Try Golden Rule Insurance, and Assurant health Insurance Co. You can Google both of these and get quotes.
