Does anyone know of any charities for low income families?

I'm looking for somewhere in ENGLAND (north west) who help low income, large families with clothing etc.

I'm working with a woman who has 7 children (I know!!), is on income support and has just had to set up home on her own with them after fleeing domestic violence. she's really struggling to clothe them and is worried about christmas coming up. any ideas? thanks!

i know the people above answered your question already but just tell the lady well done for being so brave best gift she has give her children is a chance at a good peaceful life.

Try registering with Freecycle - people often give away clothing

Try social services they usually have great knowledge on charities that can help

Go to your library and ask in the refernce section for 'Grants for Individuals in Need'. You can search by cause and area for a grantmaking trust which may be abel to help.
