there is one site that i suggest you dont use. BERGES du CANAL  at villeneuve les beziers. it looks lovely on the web site but its dirty noisy unkempt and very neglected. ive never been on such a bad site and ive tried a lotgood luck and enjoy. its a lovely area

Have you checked out euro camp and keycamp sites in France even if you don't want to go with them you can locate a good quality camp site via there web sites have fun

I was a holiday rep in that neck of the woods during the summer of 1993! In Marseillan Plage to be exact - about halfway between Sete & Cap d'Agde.

Now, I can tell you the campsite I worked on (Nouvelle Floride - nicknamed Poubelle Horride) was an absolute dive. I've heard rumours it's completely different these days, but I'm not convinced, so it might to wise to give that one a miss.

Two nearby campsites which were infinitely nicer were Le Charlemagne, and Le Galet. Back in those days, Le Galet did the best pizzas I'd ever tasted. Not very French I admit, but they went down very well with a few steins of lager after a hectic arrivals day.
