Does anyone know of any good gloves or mittens for going snowboarding?

I keep having to buy a new pair of gloves every year, and this year i want a good pair :]

--any good brands or specific kinds that are warm and have a good grip on them

L.L. Bean makes really good gloves, they're pricey though, about $80.

Regardless of brand, you definitely want Gore-Tex and you definitely Thinsulate or some other good brand of insulation. Say no to cotton and down. Always.

You should probably look into having gloves and mittens available because there is a point where it is so cold that no brand of glove will be good enough... below 25 it's all about the mittens for me.

the company MAMMOTH make really good gloves that will last you a while. but as can  be expected they're really expensive. but for the high quality and the long life of them its worth it

Try Grenade Gloves. They look great and sure do their job to keep your hands warm. But they look really hott. Try them =]

The reason that you trash a pair of gloves every year is that snowboarding is too much for a regular pair of "snow" gloves - you need snowboarding gloves and they will last years.

The best gloves for snowboarding have a very high gauntlet - they will come up over your jacket sleeves to keep the snow out. The most waterproof gloves are GoreTex, but they are expensive. The most versatile gloves are glove "systems" which have a waterproof shell and a liner. Use the shell alone for warmer conditions and wear both when colder.

The best brands are North Face, Mountain Hardware, Burton, Marmot, etc.
