Does anyone know of any good hamster toys???

Question

I have had my hamster for a while but he always uses the same toys. I've been to the petstore to buy some more, but there are so many choices and I don't know which ones he will like.

Any recomendations?

get chew toys for him to nibble on and get him a playpen so he could walk around a lot

Most toys you can buy for hammys at pet stores are the same old same old, however, i find that its really fun to buy my hamsters eatable furniture for their  cage, they love to eat  them, and it also gives them a toy to play with and hide in. Do you have a hamster ball? hamsters love to run around in them, but never leave your hammy unattended in one, : )

A ball, a wheel, some kind of house.  Other than that I just give him an old toilet paper tube and watch him go!

yeah gethim a girlfriend lol but if you don't want a bunch of babies try to find a pet store that will take them first... get it a lil ball so it can run around.....

It all depends on the hamster actually, but they do like a selection. Make sure he/she has some sort of house type thing to hide in, a wheel, and if you could, a tunnel, tunnel's are BIG hits, i would wholeheartedly redamend them. You can also make toys, toilet paper tubes, cardboard boxes of any kind, and woven baskets all make great toys.

If your tired of the toys at the pet store  (I know I was!)  then why not make your own?

A lot of people are starting to do this, and its also a lot of fun! Here's a link about what types of materials you can use for home made toys. Then get creative!
