  1. Absolutely. Ginger ale, in sips, quells nausea so well gastroenterologists recommend it, and so do doctors whose patients are taking chemotherapy.

If the bubbles bother you, pour it back and forth between two glasses a few times to release lots of the carbonation.

After that, it's the BRAT diet.

    B for bananas

R for cooked rice, plain pasta, soda crackers, toast and other simple white-flour carbohydrates

    A for applesauce and Popsicles

T for hot tea or other clear liquids like bouillon, chicken noodle soup, clear juices, etc.

Avoid all dairy products; all fats and oils (butter, mayonnaise, peanut butter); fiber like whole grains, fruits, and vegetables; and spices except for salt to taste. This gets boring but will help calm the digestive tract, no matter which end of it is in greater distress.

    Hope you feel better quick.

  2. Try chicken broth as hot as you can stand it.  This always worked for me while I was pregnant.

  3. Do NOT drink senna tea if you are pregnant. Senna is a stimulating laxative. It stimulates the intestinal muscles and can lead to abdominal spasm, not a good idea when pregnant. It might  cause a miscarriage only if the pregnancy was unstable in some way, but it's not worth the risk.

Ginger tea can be made by grating the root into a cup and pouring hot water over it. You can then drink it as is, or sweeten with a little honey.

    Peppermint tea also relieves nausea.

If the nausea is from a 'stomach bug' then clove tea works fantastically, especially at the beginning of the infection. It tastes absolutely terrible but has near miraculous effects. Grind about a teaspoon of cloves and make a tea by pouring a cup of hot water the powder. Drink when cool enough, even if only half the cup can be swallowed.

Cloves are antibacterial and also have a numbing effect on pain.

  4. they have some herbal teas at the store made for nausea.

  5. Chew on a mint leaf.

  6. In addition to those mentioned:

    Seltzer water

    Flat Coke or Sprite

    Ginger Snaps

    Graham Crackers

    The Infamous - Saltines

If you nausea is pregnancy-related, avoid caffeine, dairy and acidic food and drink.  Try eating something small before getting out of bed.  There are also sour lollipops on the market that can help with morning sickness (Preggie Pops).

If it's not related to pregnancy, just do a clear diet for a few days, moving onto the BRAT diet when you can.

  7. The best remedy is ginger for ANY kind of nausea.

I buy the candied ginger at my local health food store and keep it in my purse. It was a life saver when I went thru chemo this year. And when I was in Hawaii, and we went snorkeling, the captain on the boat had fresh ginger that he gave to everyone for sea-sickness. No one got sea sick.

I hope it works for you too!

  8. the ginger ale - that's a joke read the ingredients on the soda drink bottle and see just how much ginger (real) not flavored is in that stuff.

    make a peppermint, ginger tea.

    sniff peppermint oil

really if you're nauseated, it's best to let it run its course.  there's something in ya that needs to get out.

  9. marijuana. proven fact.

  10. Burn a ginger scented candle, suck on Preggie-pops (sour candies meant to help with morning sickness), sniff peppermint, wear the wrist bands meant for motion sickness, munch on Saltine crackers.

  11. Marijuana is just about the best anti-nausea drug there is.

  12. drink senna tea, im sure your local drug store has it.
