  1. Dear Allice,

You are right in thinking that even if you are already a good student, there is always room for improvement. Getting things done faster has many benefits.

One of them is that it will leave you with more time to research, work on projects, or actually have a little bit of a social life.

All students can learn how to take better notes, how to zero in on important points, and accomplish more by doing things in a smart and efficient way.

One of the best study skills sites for these things and more that I have found is the Joe Landsberger site. His link is at

http://www.studygs.net/. It is an awesome resource and contains many different study skills areas to learn about.

Also, it helps to find out what learning style you have. That way, you can focus on ways to help yourself improve and become faster in areas you are already good at. A good site to do this is at the Metamath site here: http://www.metamath.com/multiple/multipl...

There are some more links at the Nontraditional Student Study skills page that may also be helpful to you. That link is here:

    http://www.nontradstudents.com/studyskil...

    Good luck on your quest!

  2. I can't answer the whole thing, but to retain information, it's better to remember it as an image than just words/sounds.

If that makes any sense at all.
