I actually use chegg.com to rent textbooks that i do not want to own (i.e. something that is not spanish, history, or education related) because you can usually save 70 percent, and most of the books i received from them are in good condition to brand new.

Then for my other books i sometimes buy new if it is related to spanish, history, or education.  I actually look around a lot to find the cheapest prices though for those books.

I sometimes used Ebay, or Half.com, but I think I used Amazon the most.
