Hi I am 26 and live in Litchfield, CT. I am looking for a FT job,

I have been working with young horses for 10 years in brining up foals to training to ride, rite now I am working PT on a 7yr old appendix QH that was abused to the point that no one could ride or even go near....she is now doing fine. and one of my own....a 1yr old QH stud colt that was neglected.

I have also teched beginner riding lessons aswell.

I have run my own barn as well as managed anothers barn.

I am very easy to get along with and can be very helpful to others needs as well as my inexperience working at several vet offices.

I would also consider a job exercising race horses, western ridden horses, polo horses or just about any type

so please let me know if anyone can help.

Thank you!!!

  1. Look on Equimax is the horse job website ill give you the link

    http://equ.equimax.com:8080/index.htm

  2. theres alot of farms in harwinton and some show ones. Pick up a copy of Just Horses at blue seal or some place like that or post an ad in the foot hill trader or go to horsetopia.com and post an ad about your self. If you want to see farms in CT go to justhorses.com and browse around. Also ask around. There is also steed read I get a copy at the thomaston feed and grain all time. Incase u dont know where it is its near thomaston high school

  3. Try the Fairfield County Hunt Club in Westport CT: http://fairfieldhunt.com/Club/Scripts/Ho...

I ride there and I think they might be hiring people for the summer (if you do a good job over the summer they might keep you). We are an English riding country club, mostly showjumping, but there are trails and maybe (a little?) dressage. There is a foal there who might need to be trained, but other than him the horses are all trained

  4. i would suggest putting a ad in the steadread which is a state equine magazine.

it is a very good way to get started. there are also barns looking for trainers in the mag as well.
