Does anyone know of any kind of fundraising events for charities????

I am trying to set up an event in my high school that will benefit some kind of charity. We have already decided to take on shoes for the cure but i was hoping to find another "project" that we could take on. Any and all ideas are welcome!!!

Just ask for money. It works as well as anything else and doesn't require time and money to set up something.

If you don't know what charity or cause you want to help, you can't get much commitment from kids to raise money for it. Lots of groups need labor/time as much as money. In tight economic times, everyone is asking for money. Couldn't the kids just do something useful--sort food, hang sheetrock for Habitat, tutor elementary kids--instead of raising money?
