  1. What skills do you have? I am a webmaster / graphics designer. I have done some from home work editing web pages or teaching people to edit their own. I have also picked up a few bucks editing pictures for companies who quickly threw together websites.

If you want to make money from home (and don't want to get into babysitting), just look around for people who could benefit from your skills. When you find them - don't be afraid to contact them. Compliment something they have done well then either offer advice on where you can improve what they already have or ask if they could use any assistance.

It's hard and you will get a lot of "no"s , but eventually you will get a "yes" that makes it all worth the time you spent.

Also, if you have a talent at crafts and can afford to - don't be afraid to display it by giving stuff away. I know a lady who customized little shirts and stuff for a baby shower. People were so impressed that they actually offered to pay her to make gifts for other events they go to!

Good luck. In general I think that having to pay money to make money is a serious sign of a scam. I have found one place where I got my money's worth ... www.michellesdiscount.com is a site I signed up for 3 years ago. I have only profited about $100 through sales, but I have saved hundreds by doing my Christmas shopping there!

For free stuff ... Besides what is mentioned above, I have had some success with survey sites. But to tell you the truth - you often end up making less than minimum wage on those once you factor in all the surveys you have to give information to just to find out you don't qualify.

  2. you can earn some extra cash by doing some online surveys, You can't make a living out of it but you can earn from $10 to $?? per survey. First try some free Paid survey sites. If you don't know any sites you can get a list of paid survey sites at

    www.  freesurveylist   . co.cc

  3. I've been doing some work with www.elance.com the past week, all the work is home based, data entry, transcription etc. The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you.

Also have a look at the jobs listed here, most are applicable to us,canada, europe, its quite good, thats where I found the elance link.

Its been updated today to include some Craft type jobs which can be done from home, mainly re-distribution, but it possible to make good money from it if you work hard.

So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online. It is just that need to pick the one that suits you the best. I hope this helps you and I believe you will find the online job that you love the most. Thanks

  5. Hi Jessica. The thing is there is difference between working for someone else at home- home job or working for yourself from home- home business. No, you should never have to pay to work from home. A job is and should always be free. If a "job' is asking for a fee, it is a scam. Now if you want your own home business this usually does require some kind of investment on your part, due to what you are recieving in return rather it be a website, products, etc., depending on what you are looking into. You also benefit from a busines by being your own boss, setting your own hours, controling your income, your freedom. Look at it as starting any business, it is going to take some money to start. Luckily home businesses are a tad bit cheaper than lets say starting opening a bar or a cafe. (thats gets pricey) But the benifts can be just as great. Now a home job is still going to be like any "job" Set hours, set pay, lay-offs, ect. What are you looking for out of a home based income? I have done a lot of research on both sides of this. And i found that with the "jobs' I tried, I really wasn't making any money for the hours i as putting in. I defininetly recommend looking into businesses if you are looking for a good income. As long as you do your research and find something you will like, the investment is not a bad thing because the benefits are going to be much greater. I have experience in this and would be happy to help. Email me anytime.    (oh, yeah, doing offers and surveys... huge waste of time.)

  6. would you be interested in writing?

You could setup a blog or website, this is completely free. Once you have added some good content, you can start to earn money from advertising. I know you wont make a huge income from this, but it would get you started working from home.

Pick a topic which you are very interested in, and write a piece on that everyday.

I've given step by step instructions on how to create a website for free, and then add adverts to it so you can start generating income.

Any questions please leave a comment on this blog.

I've also found some useful information on these blogs, it helps you to earn small amounts of money from data entry, surveys, receiving telephone calls, reading adverts in emails and online selling.
