I have strabismus, my left eye is slightly turned inward. Sometimes its more noticeable than other times and I'm really conscious about t. I can't even have an interview without staring down every 2 seconds. Does anyone have the contact information of any optometrist they think can help me? If you do please please please email it to me or post it here, whichever one works for you. Thank you guys so much.

  1. You're best bet is to look in your phone book under "ophthalmologists" - who specialize in strabismus surgery.  Then give them a call.  They can correct it simply by going in and changing the muscle behind the eye so that they are straightened out and chances are you won't need to wear glasses w/ prism in them.  Check w/ your insurance to see how it would be covered too, as it isn't cheap.

    Good luck :)

  2. A pediatric ophthalmologist will be the most able to diagnose and surgically treat an eye turn--even if you are an adult.  Good Luck!

  3. see an ophthalmologist  who will do 1 of a couple surgeries to correct it.  I have a "lazy" eye(one is inward at times.  when i look to the side, one is very far in, and the other is normal), and i'm doing that soon!

    Good luck!
