  1. My friend has got a Lamar Dragon... Ive tried it and its pretty good...

Type Lamar into the browser or something and look at the results... They are not the most expensive boards, but not the Cheapest neither...

         Hope this helps =)

  2. Burton makes good boards, but they are hated by a lot of seasoned riders because of the hype and the fact that most new riders assume they are the best board made.

Other good brands depends on what kind of riding you are doing - freestyle or freeride. Just try to stay away from the junk like Morrow, 5150, Avalanche, etc. You can get a $400 board for $250 if you get it at a year end clearance or a pre-season sale. Look at these:

Freestyle: Rome, K2, Forum, GNU, Lib Tech

    Freeride: Ride, K2, Burton, Nitro

    Good Luck

  3. I swear by Lib Tech's.  I just got a TRS with banana technology and magne-traction and it's awesome!  The banana technology is really cool.  It curves upwards from the center instead of downwards toward the tips.  Here's a link with some more information: http://www.lib-tech.com/banana/index.htm...

The magne-traction is serrated edges, sort of like a saw.  This really makes a noticable difference in edge hold.  It lets me carve and hold my edge on the nastiest of ice patches.

The quality of production of Lib-Tech's is outstanding.

Some other brands that make great boards are:

    -K2

    -Ride

-Solomon(never riden a solomon board but I LOVE their boots and bindings)

    -Nitro

    -Forum

Try demoing some different boards before you buy one.  Good luck. hope this helped.

  4. Try Crazy Creek its a great brand for those who prefer quality control.

  5. There are loads of good brands out there and different people like different brands for a variety of reasons, alot of the time what is best for you comes down to personal preference. So as said above try and demo some boards if you can, thats the only way you can know which board is best suited to you. Some good brands to check out are Rome, Lib Tech, Gnu, Ride, Signal, Capita, Bataleon, Atomic, Forum, K2, Nitro, Arbor, Salomon, Palmer, Option, Albin, O-Matic, Rossignol, Apo, Nidecker, Volkl, Sapient, Elan. Good luck with the riding.

  6. Burton has great boards it's just that they are too expensive. Some nice brands are:

    Lib Tech

    Elan

    K2

    Never Summer

    Sims

    Palmer

    Atomic

    5150

    Ride

    Morrow

    Salomon

    Rossignol

    Airwalk (boots)

I stand by Nitro and Burton those are my absolute favorite.

  7. Forum and K2 boards are supposed to be really good quality so i suggest looking at those websites. Good Luck!
