  1. Coles, Woolworths, IGA, K-mart, Target, Big W, The Warehouse, Supercheap, Autobarn.... etc - the list is endless.  The love taking on younger people.

I would go for Supercheap  - you get more $ on a casual rate, and a 25% staff discount so you can accessorise your car more when you get one!

My son started at Coles at 14.1/2 yrs

Starting rate was $8.35 more on Sundays and some holidays. When he was 17 - he was getting $15 on Sundays and $11 normal hours.  I assume it would be the same for Kmart, Target, Office Works etc as they are all under the same company (name).  Now wages could have gone up by now, I am just going on what he got back then.

You generally start on checkouts, then can go into whatever is available - my son did Bakery and produce.  Gives you more hours and of course $$$

    - Most of the places above you apply online on their websites, look for a link 'careers' or 'employment'.  A bit lengthy I know.... but you fill in what area you want to work etc, and they will email you jobs coming up, you can pick and choose, if you are then accepted they will call you in for an interview.

Anyhow this is how my son started off, working after school some days and weekends to buy his first car.  Unfortunately he had it for 14 months and some old lady rammed him and wrote off the car 3 days ago !  at least the ladies insurance will pay out, so don't forget the insurance!

    Good Luck with it all.

  2. Here is a great site to find weekend work such as car washing,  cleaning, lawn mowing, babysitting etc

All you need to do is search on the website and if you can't find what you're looking for then put your own ad.  The service is free.

  3. Yes !  go get your name down at any Survey

company and they pay around $17 to $22 an

hour !  Depending on survey if it runs  for a

whyle you can work in some part time hours

    besides week - ends .

they always have new ones (good companys do )

so you have continuos work.  Good luck
