Does anyone know of any programs that will pay for daycare for a child with disabilities in New York?

  1. contact the division of developmental disabilities---they can refer you to available programs-sometimes there are subsidies or monthly allowances to pay for things for teh child


  2. Ask at the Social Security office for a list of "respite" care centers in your area.  Respite care can give you either a center-based or home-based place for your child to receive care.

  3. Depending on the age of the child, early intervention or your school district.

    Obviously this all hinders on the disability and functioning of the child. Also, the Department of Social Services will pay part of daycare if your income is low, but you would have to find a center.
