Does anyone know of any "amateur" motorsport championships in the UK?

Question

Tuned cars or converted road cars (so touring car stuff). Either that or any race days like you get on NFS: ProStreet.

(Note: I'm asking from a participant's point of view as opposed to just going as a spectator).

Any information anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

There are always the run what ya brung at Santa Pod drag racing strip. Just turn up with a helmet and seat belt, as long as the car is roadworthy your away!

as  spectter you can support whatever you want, especially if someone is racing a similar car to your own.
