In Indiana, Meijer supermarkets, and Kroger (Payless) are giving an extra 10% added to gift cards, for example, you would pay $300 for a $330 gift card, $600 for a $660 gift card...  You don't need to cash your check to do it, just buy the gift cards for that extra 10% right now.  Walmart is cashing economic stimulus checks for free.

I know Sears is.  If you purchase a gift card using your whole stimulus check, you'll receive another gift card worth 10% of the entire check, for free.  Hope this helps.
