Almost all "work at home" advertised jobs are a scam or not going to pay out what they promise. The only kind of work at home situations that really work are the ones you create for yourself. Here's a good suggestion: sell insurance as an agent. Getting licensed with the state you are in is very easy (usually a 3-7 day class for a few hundred dollars). After that, the carriers provide you with everything you need to sell any type of insurance; P&C, Health, Life, Group, Individual,... It is also enjoyable because you can earn commissions (especially with group medical) that pay every month after only selling the policy once! I hope this info has been helpful. Good luck!

There are plenty of work from home jobs that are legit. It all depends on how much money you want to make.

If you want to turn this into an eventual full time job then you need to consider three things.

1. Look for a company that has been in business for at least 10 years. Many work from home businesses go out of business within a few years. Your going to want to affiliate yourself with one that has staying power.

2. Understand the compensation plan. If you ever deal with a company that doesn't want to discuss how you are going to get paid up front, run for the hills.

3. Training. This is the most important. Many companies have sponsors who sign you up and then you never hear from them again. Make sure that there is a good training program in place.

I've been doing some work with www.elance.com the past week, all the work is home based, data entry, transcription etc. The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you.

Its been updated today to include some Craft type jobs which can be done from home, mainly re-distribution, but it possible to make good money from it if you work hard.

So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online.
