Does anyone know of bed risers that you place under the legs that rise the bed 12"?

I want to rise my dorm bed 12" and I can not find anything other then those plastic ones.

The only thing I can think of is to use wood.  You should be able to go to a home repair place and get them to cut you squares, maybe like 6 inches by six inches.  The hight could be achieved by nailing a few pieces together.  The good part with this is it's sturdy and you can even nail some smaller pieces of wood around where the leg of your bed would sit so that it won't slide.
