You would have to take a bus to Guadalajara, which takes 36 hours. From there a bus to Morelia takes 4 hours.

As mentioned above, there are discount airlines with flights out of Tijuana. Often, the cost will be about the same as the bus.

Cheap like 800 pesos. If I were you I would look a flight on click mexicana, air bus or interjet, which are low costs airlines, and I'm pretty sure you would find a similar price, because Tijuana is sooooo far from Morelia, and it will takes more than 20 hours to get there, so, it doesn't worth it.

Other option is try to get a flight to Mexico city on this cheap flights, and then, get a bust to Morelia wich will take 4 hours only.

try transpies. They are always really cheap and extremly comfortable. You can always use any local bus system and it be cheaper, but not nearly as comfortable. You might even have to stand the whole way.
