  1. It is: Taraxacum, maybe combined with Lycopodium X6.

  2. Must be the bitter ingredients in it.

  3. ive just bought some dandelion coffee from a health shop ,its actually quite nice, researching on line it has loads of health benefits http://www.leaflady.org/health_benefits_...

  4. Yes and combine with milk thistle.  Look for Liver Blend by "Nature's Way".   At Whole Food Market, your local health food store or online.

    Dandelion is a liver tonic.

  5. Dandelion root extract (not leaves in this case - they stimulate the kidneys) stimulates bile production and the liver generally, and therefore helps detoxification especially if the liver is under strain. It is better with milk thistle, which stimulates the detoxifying enzymes in the liver.

It's also important to ask why someone has fatty liver. If it's because of heavy drinking then the most important thing of all is to stop - keep drinking in this case and the end result could be cirrhosis.

I believe that fatty liver, possibly leading to cirrhosis, can also be a result of hepatitis - by the way, it is possible to get hepatitis from contaminated water; it isn't just contracted from doing things you shouldn't! :)

In this case, the herb astragalus can help - it's a liver tonic, but more important in this case, it's also a boost to the immune system.

Fatty liver can also be caused by type 2 diabetes, or being close to it, or just plain eating too much, especially of fatty foods. The remedy to the last ought to be obvious, but type 2 diabetes can also be mainly caused by overeating as well - especially if the overeating is mostly of carbohydrates.

By the way, dandelion is normally thought of as herbal, not homoeopathic. I wouldn't expect homoeopathic dandelion to do anything at all.
