  1. I would have to agree with the smiths fan.

The bands you mentioned are not punk...at all. I suspect you are not that deep into music as a whole to know this and that is okay everyone starts somewhere. But, if you are that far away you might want to venture out from the suburbs; past the local mall; inside the city limits, and find a good record store that has been there a while. A place that still sells LPs on vinyl [records]. Now go on and learn something. Go grow up and make us proud.

  2. um well mayb you could try:

    -hopes die last

    -before their eyes

    -choidos

    -chemical vocation

    -shutterfly

    -burden of a day

    -scarlet affair

they might b quite well-known =/ but theyr pretty good

and most prob u alrdy kno em but just in case..u should chek out ecsape the fate they'r totally awesome!

  3. look up these record labels:

    - Fat Wreck Chords

    - vagrant

    - epitaph

    - nitro records

    - Kung fu records

and by the way, Aiden is NOT punk rock. that's like saying Avril Sk8er Boi is a punk rocker.

for great punk rock, look for the bands on those labels, namely, NOFX Less Than Jake, Anti-Flag, Rancid, the distillers, the decendants, the explosion, fenix tx, goldfinger, mad caddies, and many many more

  4. Here are some REAL punk bands:

The Adverts, s*x Pistols, The Toy Dolls, The Ramones.

    Hope that helps your question.

  5. do NOT use the word PUNK rock and follow it up with those pathetic modern day american drivel bands lmao

punk is THE CLASH, THE s*x PISTOLS, THE RAMONES and so on

call it rubbish emo, DO NOT CALL IT PUNK

  6. If you want underground bands look somewhere local, not the internet.

  12. Yeah man!  How 'bout this group I saw years ago...I know they were limeys 'cause of they're name; but we we're at CBGB's in 1978,, "The U.K. Subs,,,and they had a song called "Down on the farm" that I think you'll approve of!...  It's no jive, look them up.... You'll be glad you did it!

  14. chemical romance? that is very EMO

listen Ramones, s*x pistols that you win more!

  15. gallows

  16. I know many many truly great punk rock bands, unfortunately you disqualify yourself from being allowed to listen to them due to the drivel you believe constitutes punk rock.

  17. Here is old school punk- The Reds,The Damned, The Jam, Ian Dury & the Blockheads, and we can't forget about The Clash,s*x Pistols, P.I.L.

  18. First of all, I'm sorry, but MCR, Aiden, etc . . . eh . . . a little weak in the P.R. department.

Here's some of my favorite punk albums:

MC5 - "Kick Out The Jams"

Iggy Pop - "A Million in Prizes: The Anthology"

    Bad Brains - "Black Dots"

The Clash - s/t, "London Calling", "Give 'em enough rope"

    Minor Threat - discography

Dead Kennedys - "Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables", "Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death"

Naked Raygun - "Throb Throb", "All Rise"

Husker Du - "Warehouse: Songs and Stories"

    Operation Ivy - discography

Fugazi - "13 Songs", "In On The Kill Taker", "Steady Diet of Nothing"

The Traitors - "Everything Went Sh*t"

NOFX - "Punk in Drublic", "White Trash, Two Heebs, and a Bean", "Heavy Petting Zoo"

    Leatherface - "Horsebox"

No Use For a Name - "Leche Con Carne"

Face To Face - "Dont' Turn Away"

Propagandhi - "How to Clean Everything"

Good Riddance - "For God and Country"

Hot Water Music - "Fovever and Counting", "No Division"

Dillinger 4 - "Midwestern Songs of the Americas"

Blue Meanies - "A Sonic Documentation of Exhibition and Banter"

Ted Leo and The Pharmacists - "Shake the Sheets"

. . . that'll give you a good start. A mix of old school and new school.
