  1. Ck with your local Bar they have info on them BUT most are bar leagues

    Or APA_BCA In your area

  2. The only thing I can add to these answers is about the APA. I am a team captain in Colorado. To join the APA you'll need to pay $20 for a year ($25 next year). We pay $5 a person per week. We kick in $2 a piece to the bar.

  3. The absolute best amateur league is the American Poolplayers Association or it's Canadian counterpart the Canadian Poolplayers Association.  Check out their site and you should be able to find a team in your area easily.

  4. The APA will guide to to an amateur pool league in your area. APA will also provide you with all the information you'll need to know, on how to join. I've included links to other non-APA amateur leagues as well. Check 'em all out ---I'm confident that you'll easily find what you're looking for.

  5. Try the link below and should be able to easily find a league in your area. I hope that helps!

  6. Check local pool halls and talk to people there--many of them should be able to point you in the right direction as many are probably on a league themself.  Or, you could ask the owner/manager of the hall, if you don't want to go around asking random people.

And don't be confused when people start telling you about all the different leagues that you can join, because there are a few different ones.  They all just have slightly different rules from each other.  The leagues that I am familiar with are TAP, BCA, and APA.

(If you want to be allowed to play slop, check out APA.  If you want to try something that requires a bit more skill and a little less luck, check out TAP or BCA, where every shot has to be called.)<<Personal opinion
