Does anyone know of other government grants for education besides fafsa?

I live in AZ and I just applied for fafsa but I didnt qualify. Does anyone know of anything else I can apply for?

  1. Your school should have an extensive list of scholarships they offer to the students there.  Go through it and apply for everyone you are eligible for.

    There are many grants available but you need to verify the creditability of the source. The local library, in the reference section is a good start. The internet is ok but you need to check out the reliability of the offer.

    Many other sources, but check the library. They have a lot of information and its free and definately worth the trip.

  3. FAFSA isn't a grant. It is the application used by all institutions to help to figure your need for financial aid. If your parents earned too much last year, then you probably have a very high EFC, Estimated Family Contribution. If that is the case, talk to the financial aid counselor at the institution you are planning to attend to help you. Your parents may have to take out student loans.
