Does anyone know of someplace to stay in Vicenza or Venice that is under 50euro a night?

My family is going to Italy for vacation and the b&b we were going to stay in double booked. We need somewhere to stay for 4 nights in July anywhere around the Vicenza military post. Does anyone know of a cheap hotel or bed and breakfast that may not be posted online? We have stayed at cheap hotels where you share bathrooms before, is there anyplace like that in that area?

When we went to Venice we stayed at the Hotel Victoria in Vicenza. It's about a 45 minuted drive to Venice from there. They also have a great restaurant in hotel....and not to expensive!

www.venere.com is a good resource for Italy hotels, b&bs, etc.

It's difficult to find cheap accommodations during the tourist season. There's a two star in Vicenza that used to be 62 euro per night for a double (Hotel Palladio [phone]); the price may be higher now. Hotel Giardini is another relatively cheap hotel: [phone].

Farm Home Oro del Tempo is a couple of miles outside of Vicenza. It has a rate of 60 euro per night per room if there are any rooms available. You can check details and book this one on-line http://en.venere.com/hotels_surroundings...

You can find some cheaper hotels in smaller towns in the area:

You might also try Marostica if you'll have a car. It's further from Vicenza, and there's only bus transport otherwise.

Or there's a B&B in Soave, Bed & Breakfast Corte Casone, but there isn't a train station here either.

You'll never cut it at for that price in Venice... nor do I think in Vicenza. Contact the Housing at the Post or have someone contact them for you. This is the best and only way to try to save a buck.

Sorry, but I don't think so.

Venice is one of the most expensive cities of Europe to stay over night, best you find accommodation outside Venice.

Have a nice stay.

Maybe there's a hostel in the neighborhood.

Hello.  Staying in Venice is expensive. It is best to stay in Mestre  . However,  here are some hotels in Venice for you.  Finding one for less than 50 euros a night in July  is  unheard of.
